Submission Guidelines
Submission of papers for the Central European Journal of Communication (CEJC) requires adjusting to the APA (American Psychological Association) – Style, Grammar, and Citation Guidelines. More information see: https://apastyle.apa.org
Before submitting your paper to a journal, you may have it professionally edited, particularly if English is not your first language. It may help to ensure that the academic content of your paper is fully understood by journal editors and reviewers.
We will copyedit your paper for clarity, consistency, and to match the journal’s style. We will send the proof of your paper to you so that you can view the final version before we publish it.
All articles are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/). There are no costs of publishing articles that have been accepted for the CEJC regular issues.
Guidelines for Special Issue Guest Editors
If you're interested in proposing a Special Issue, it's important to first review the journal’s general submission guidelines. Once you've become familiar with the guidelines, you can begin preparing your proposal for the Special Issue.
In the proposal for the Special Issue please include: (1) proposed Special Issue title, (2 information on the editors, (3) a general description of the Special Issue, (3) a table of contents, (4) abstracts of the papers, and (5) a list of contributors, and (6) a tentative schedule of calls, submissions, reviews, and publication.
Please send your proposal to journal@ptks.pl or directly to Roksana Gloc – the Special Issue Editor (roksana.gloc@uj.edu.pl).
If your proposal for a Special Issue is accepted, as a Guest Editor, you will have a crucial role in overseeing the review process for papers submitted to the Special Issue. The review process for Special Issue papers should be managed using the journal's online editorial system (https://journals.ptks.pl/cejc/about/submissions), and each paper should be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers (excluding the Guest Editors themselves).
To submit a paper for a Special Issue, authors should use the journal's online submission system (Submissions | Central European Journal of Communication) and indicate in the abstract that their paper is intended for the Special Issue. This will ensure that the paper is routed to the appropriate Guest Editors and handled accordingly.
Before informing the authors of the editorial decision, the Editor-in-Chief or the Special Issue Editor of the journal must approve the recommendation of the Guest Editors. They may choose to decline the recommendation or request additional peer reviews before making a final decision.
Once a manuscript is accepted, it will enter the production phase, during which it will be typeset and prepared for publication. The costs of proofreading, copyediting, and printing of the Special Issue should be covered by the third party (the CEJC does not cover these costs).
